How to think about this comparison
Maxyfi sells SMBs a full AR automation suite. Invoicing, payment reminders, dunning workflows, customer portal. They cover most of the AR lifecycle, and shops that want one tool for the whole receivable workflow find it appealing. That's a fair preference. We don't compete on breadth. Syntharra does one thing well: it calls past-due invoices on a fixed cadence, with TCPA and state-law compliance baked in at the call-flow layer, billed only on what we actually recover. So pick by your real bottleneck. If you don't have an invoicing tool, Maxyfi (or your accounting software) is the answer. If your invoicing is fine but the calls aren't happening, that's the gap we fill.
When Maxyfi is the better choice
Maxyfi runs the broader AR stack: invoicing, dunning, portal. We're the narrow piece — voice calls on overdue invoices. Need a full AR platform? Maxyfi. Already invoicing fine but the calls aren't happening? That's where we live.
This is Syntharra's own first-party positioning, not a third-party endorsement. We publish it here so the trade-offs stay explicit.
Questions shops ask when picking between us and Maxyfi
Does Maxyfi do voice calls?
Not to our knowledge — Maxyfi's collection workflows focus on email reminders, SMS, and dunning sequences with embedded payment links. If they have shipped voice AI since this page was written, we will update. The structural difference is that Maxyfi is a broader AR platform, and Syntharra is a focused voice layer that sits beneath whatever invoicing tool you already use.
Can I use both?
Yes. Some shops use Maxyfi for invoicing and email dunning, then layer Syntharra on top for the phone-call step. We read invoice state directly from your accounting system (QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, Square, Zoho Books, Jobber), so we coexist with any dunning tool that does not also dial. Just make sure your Maxyfi cadence does not email a customer while we are mid-call.
Which is cheaper?
Depends on volume. Maxyfi is fixed monthly subscription; Syntharra is 10% of what we recover with no monthly fee. For small shops with sporadic past-dues, Syntharra is cheaper by a wide margin. For shops with high-volume AR and consistent recovery patterns, a fixed subscription can be cheaper past a certain throughput — the calculator at /calculator gives an honest estimate.
Does Maxyfi do anything Syntharra does not?
Yes — invoicing, email dunning, and customer-facing payment portals. Those are real features that Syntharra does not provide. We assume your invoicing tool is your accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, etc.) and we layer voice on top. If you want one platform for the full AR lifecycle, Maxyfi or a similar tool is the better fit.
What does Syntharra do that Maxyfi does not?
The phone call. Email dunning is a passive channel — the customer either reads it or they do not. The voice call is active — the conversation happens, the dispute surfaces, the payment date gets confirmed, the SMS pay-link gets sent. The whole point of Syntharra is to add the call, not to replace email dunning.
