Customer payment portal
After a call, customers who want to pay online receive a unique link by SMS or email. The link opens a simple payment page showing the invoice, the amount, and your business name. Payment by card or bank transfer. PCI DSS-compliant handling through Stripe.
What the customer sees
The pay link opens a single page. No account required, no redirects, no upsell. Five pieces of information at most: your business name, invoice number, amount due, due date, and a payment form.
How the link reaches them
After any call where the customer asks to pay online or says they would like a link, Syntharra sends it automatically by SMS. If no mobile number is on the invoice, the link goes by email instead. You can also trigger a link manually from the dashboard for any open invoice at any time.
Payment methods
Customers can pay by Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or Discover. ACH bank transfer is available for US accounts. Card payments typically settle to your Stripe account within 2 business days; ACH settlements take 3–5 business days.
After payment
The customer sees a confirmation on screen immediately. An email receipt follows automatically. The invoice is marked paid in your Syntharra dashboard, and the settlement appears in the settlement timeline once it clears Stripe.
Dispute handling
If a customer believes the invoice amount is wrong, they can flag it from the payment portal. This gives them a way to raise the issue without going silent or ignoring calls.
Step 1
Customer clicks “I have a question about this invoice” on the portal.
Step 2
Invoice is flagged in your dashboard. All further call attempts on that invoice pause immediately.
Step 3
You review it and either mark it resolved (calls resume) or cancel the invoice. No action means calls stay paused.
Security
Pay links are single-use tokens. They cannot be guessed, shared, or reused after the invoice is paid or the link expires.
- ✓Each link is a one-time cryptographic token. If a customer forwards the SMS to someone else, the token becomes invalid the moment the original customer uses it, or after 7 days, whichever comes first.
- ✓PCI DSS-compliant payment handling through Stripe. Card data is captured directly by Stripe’s servers; Syntharra never sees or stores raw card numbers, CVV codes, or bank account details.
- ✓Syntharra stores no card data. Funds flow directly to your Stripe Connect account, less the 10% success fee, on each settlement.
When the pay link is sent
Three triggers. Two automatic, one manual.
Sent automatically after any call where the customer asks to pay online or asks for a link. The AI detects this intent and queues the SMS within seconds of the call ending.
Triggerable from the dashboard for any open invoice. Useful when you want to skip the call and go straight to a payment link, or when a customer contacts you directly and asks for one.
Links expire after 7 days. You can resend a fresh link from the dashboard once. The expired link becomes inactive the moment the new one is generated.
Common questions
Can my customers pay without receiving a call first?
Yes. You can generate and send a pay link from the dashboard at any time, for any open invoice. The link goes out by SMS (or email if no mobile number is on file) and works the same way as a link sent after a call.
What payment methods do customers have?
Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, and ACH bank transfer for US bank accounts. ACH typically settles in 3–5 business days; card payments typically settle in 2 business days.
What happens if the pay link expires?
Pay links are valid for 7 days from the time they are sent. If a link expires before the customer pays, you can resend a new one from the dashboard on the invoice detail page. The expired link becomes inactive immediately.
Is the payment portal branded with my business name?
Yes. The portal shows your business name and logo, pulled from your Stripe account. The customer sees your brand, not Syntharra's, throughout the payment flow.
What if a customer disputes the invoice amount?
The customer clicks "I have a question about this invoice" on the portal. This flags the invoice in your Syntharra dashboard and pauses any further call attempts on that invoice. You review the dispute and either mark it resolved or cancel the invoice. No calls go out on a flagged invoice until you clear it.
Give your customers a way to pay on their terms
The portal sends automatically. No setup beyond connecting QuickBooks and Stripe.
