How to think about this comparison
Kolleno does the standard AR-automation stack well: email cadences, SMS reminders, a customer-facing payment portal, and a dashboard for finance teams to track promise-to-pay status. It is a good fit for businesses whose problem is workflow orchestration across multiple touchpoints. Syntharra solves a narrower problem and solves it harder: the actual phone call that should have happened on day three but never did. We do not try to be a multi-channel orchestrator. If you already have one, layer us underneath. If you do not, the question is whether the AR problem is breadth (touch the customer in three channels) or depth (actually have the phone conversation). Most small service businesses we talk to need depth.
When Kolleno is the better choice
Kolleno is a strong multi-channel orchestrator. Syntharra is the voice-call layer that goes underneath it. If your AR pain is breadth across channels, buy Kolleno. If your pain is the call that never happens, start with Syntharra.
This is Syntharra's own first-party positioning, not a third-party endorsement. We publish it here so the trade-offs stay explicit.
Questions shops ask when picking between us and Kolleno
Is Syntharra a replacement for Kolleno?
No, and we do not try to be. Kolleno is a multi-channel orchestrator with a customer payment portal. Syntharra is a single-channel voice tool. If you need the portal, the SMS, the email cadence, the dashboard, and the workflow management, Kolleno is a more complete product. If you already have those, or have decided the missing piece is the phone call, Syntharra fills exactly that gap and nothing else.
Can I run Kolleno and Syntharra together?
Yes. Kolleno handles the email and SMS layers. Syntharra handles the phone call when those channels have not landed. We do not write back to your accounting software, so the two do not conflict at the ledger level. Pause email or SMS while a call is active, and pause Syntharra calls when an invoice is on a Kolleno-managed promise-to-pay.
Is Syntharra available in the UK or Europe?
Not yet. We operate in the United States and Canada and our compliance layer is calibrated for TCPA, FDCPA principles, and state-level restrictions. UK and EU rollout is on the roadmap but not committed. Until then, Kolleno is the right pick for non-North-American businesses.
Why does Syntharra not have a customer portal?
Because we think the customer-facing portal is mostly a workaround for not having had the conversation. When the agent calls, the customer hears the amount and the invoice number, takes a card or accepts a pay-link by SMS, and the conversation is done in under two minutes. A portal is what you build when nobody picks up the phone. We picked up the phone instead.
Which is cheaper?
Kolleno is a fixed monthly subscription; Syntharra is 10 percent of recovered amount with no monthly minimum. For shops with low or sporadic recovery, Syntharra is dramatically cheaper. For shops that recover hundreds of thousands a month, a fixed subscription tier may eventually be lower-cost on a per-recovered-dollar basis. The crossover depends on your volume.
Does Syntharra integrate with the same accounting systems as Kolleno?
We support QuickBooks Online, Xero, FreshBooks, Square, Zoho Books, and Jobber. Kolleno supports a similar list plus deeper Sage and NetSuite ties. If your books live in NetSuite, you may need to wait for our roadmap or stack us underneath a Kolleno-style orchestrator.
